Odumos, who had previously banned Lagos from using covered license plates, frowned at the blatant disrespect of some Lagos.
After warning all car owners in the state, regardless of their status, to refrain from driving cars with closed license plates or cars with ESCORT, PILOT and SPY plates as license plates, Odumosu said, “We’re going after them. No. has the right to put a car with a closed license plate on the highway. This is unacceptable because it is against the law. Unfortunately, this practice is common among so-called very important personalities, VIP zones, which should be learned.
“Most of them have license plates for escort vehicles such as ESCORT and PILOT. No vehicle is registered as a driver or escort as a license plate. From now on, we will not only detain these cars, but the police in the vehicles will also be arrested. ”
“Spy numbers are for operational vehicles. The situation when you indicate the number of a spy on jeeps is completely against the law, and we will begin to confiscate such vehicles. We will begin our operation in Victoria Island, Ikoyi and other high-profile areas. where these “great people” live, who know the law, but break it. “
“All cars must be registered. In order not to be on the wrong side of the law, it is strongly recommended to adhere to this directive, because we will protect them. “
