Political leaders of the past want to overthrow the government – Femi Adesina

The Department of Public Services (DSS) on Sunday warned of the sinister actions of misleading elements aimed at destroying the government, sovereignty and corporate existence of the country.

Supported by some disaffected religious and political leaders of the past, the intention is to eventually throw the country into a tailspin, triggering a vigorous and undemocratic change of leadership.

Further overwhelming evidence shows that these subversives are currently recruiting the leadership of certain ethnic and political groups across the country with the intent to convene a kind of conference at which a vote of no confidence will be passed to the president, thereby abandoning the ground. in. further riots.

Recently, these elements have regretted that they have properly prepared the ground for their ignoble intentions to inflict further suffering on the country.

Agents-provocateurs hope by cunning and sleight of hand to achieve what they failed to do with the ballot box in the 2019 elections.

Nigerians have chosen a democratic government, and the only acceptable way to change a democratically elected government is through elections that are held in the country at fixed times. Any other way is blatant law and even betrayal. Of course, this will entail the necessary consequences.

These discredited individuals and groups also ally with outside forces to cause maximum harm to their country. But the presidency, already empowered and empowered by Nigerians until 2023, is committed to preserving the country’s unity, even if some rebellious feathers are frayed in the process.
