Prominent kidnapping boss, identified as Adamu Uvar, who allegedly kidnapped a woman in Plateau State, was arrested by Operation Safe Haven (OPSH)

OPSH commander Major General Chukwuemek Okonkwo, who fielded the suspects along with others on Friday, said Uvar lured Zuwaria Mohammed in Guratop, Rayfield, Jos North, on the pretext that she had goods to sell.

When she arrived, he held her captive, contacted her husband, Rabiu Mohammed, and demanded a ransom of 2 million naira for her release.
The victim’s husband reported this to OPSH and was advised to agree to pay the ransom.
“The husband came to the OPS, and he was advised to agree to pay the ransom, and a collection point was agreed. Their own troops stormed the site, arrested the kidnapper and rescued the victim, ”he explained.

OPSH added that the kidnapper was arrested twice in the past and is wanted by the Anti-Abduction Police Department.
