Two members of a prominent abduction group were arrested in Adamawa by the police.

It turned out that the kidnappers wrote to their victims before striking them. State Police Command spokesman, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, who said so in a statement on Tuesday, January 12, said that the suspects in the crime;

Abdullahi Muhammad, Musa Usman and Suleiman Ibrahim were arrested in different places and associated with conspiracy and kidnapping.

“On January 3, 2021, a certain Ingr Khalidu Adamu, an employee of the Adamawa State Water Board, woke up and saw a sealed threatening letter wrapped and sealed with AK47 ammunition dropped at the gate of his house with the words“ We paid the assassins to kill, so either pay two million, or get ready to die “” reads the statement.

“Having duly reported this case, Command immediately dispatched its Professional Agents (NIS) and arrested the suspects. Upon completion of the investigation, they will be charged. The command praised the police officers for their dedication to the tasks that led to their success.

Likewise, while expressing gratitude to citizens for their support thus far, the Command is calling for stronger partnerships and cooperation between citizens and police, especially in providing useful information needed to investigate crimes and arrest unrepentant people in the state.
