A popular advocacy group, the Fundamental Rights Advocacy Center and Accountability Campaign, posted on Facebook photos of a critically ill pregnant young woman in Rivers State.
According to the group, the young woman, who was simply identified as Happiness, was impregnated and abandoned by a man.
She was found in critical condition along the road near the OPM junction of the Free Specialized Hospital, Omuahumnwo, Uniport Road, in Aluu.
The obstetric scan report attached to the post shows that her uterus has ruptured and that the fetus is “non-viable and inactive.”
It is urgent to carry out an operation to evacuate the fetus and save her life.
