Armed with posters with various captions, protesting youth gathered in the Trans, along the Ui-Bodija road, chanting EndSARS; NoSAWAT as they walked the streets.
Another group of young people gathered in front of the main gate of the University of Ibadan, where they blocked the road and forced cars to take a detour.
The protest was peaceful as protesters said they were willing to continue the protest until the government needed to end the lawlessness that they believed led to police brutality, economic crisis, corruption and insecurity. …

One of the leaders of the protest, Folaranmi Alade, told The PUNCH that the protest was more than a protest against police brutality, but that the country was well governed.
Alade said: “Today we are shouting EndSARS, NoSWAT, this is not our only request. We want to end bad governance, insecurity and poor economic conditions in the country. ”
