Russian air defense systems S-300 proved to be unusable in war conditions. They can’t even defend themselves

Russian air defense systems S-300 showed zero result against tactical missiles and aviation during the war in Karabakh. Both Armenia and Azerbaijan have these Russian air defense systems. But both sides were unable to shoot down anything with the S-300. They turned out to be unusable in a real war

Despite numerous missile strikes with the use of tactical missile systems, the S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, which are in service with both Armenia and Azerbaijan, have never received their combat use, experts note.

Earlier it was reported that the “300” shot down two tactical missiles over Abovyan (Armenia), however, at the moment these data have been refuted – other short-range air defense systems were used.

Despite the fact that the S-300 systems have been declared by Russia to be one of the most advanced medium and long-range air defense systems in the world, so far there is absolutely zero result.

Armenia freely strikes with tactical missile systems at Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan, in addition to the use of its tactical complexes, actively strikes with the use of military aircraft.

“As sad as it sounds, the S-300s have so far demonstrated complete passivity in Nagorno-Karabakh, not only not shooting down a single missile, but apparently not even detecting them. Something similar has been observed on the territory of Syria for two years now, which causes very serious concern, especially against the background of the fact that Russia is actively using these air defense systems to protect its territory, ”experts say.

It should be noted that over a month and a half of the armed conflict in Karabakh, Armenia lost several radars, mobile command posts and mobile launchers of S-300 air defense systems. They were destroyed by Turkish drones used by Azerbaijan.
