Sanwo-Olu apologizes after soldiers shot and killed Lekki’s protesters, condemning the attack

Lagos Governor Babajide Sanvo-Olu apologized for yesterday’s shooting at #EndSARS protesters.

He condemned the attack by security forces on Tuesday night at the toll station in Lecchi.

He also announced the suspension of all government activities for three days in solidarity with the ongoing #ENDSARS protests and riots across the state.

According to him, in the next three days the flag will be lowered at all state facilities.

He made these revelations live this morning, where he also gave an update on the shooting from protesters.

According to Sanvo-Olu, he walked all night with his team and visited hospitals and morgues to get first-hand information about the victims.

The Governor said that 24 wounded were treated in three hospitals: a general hospital (10); Reddington Hospitals (eight) and another hospital (six) added that three of the victims had surgery and about four will be discharged today.

Calling for calm, Sanwo-Olu apologized to the young men, confirming that their anger was justified.

He pleaded with parents / guardians to support their children / charges while the government tried to contain the situation.
