Senator Kumo dies at Guagwalada Hospital
Saidu Kumo is dead.
The former senator representing the central constituency of Gombe died at the age of 71.
Family sources said he died Sunday morning at Gwagwalada Hospital in Abuja.
Mr. Kumo, who holds the title of Garkuvan Gombe, was elected Senator in 1999 on the platform of the late Popular Party, APP, and later became the Party’s National Secretary.
“He has been a member of the committees for aviation, communications, energy and steel, finance and appropriations, tourism and culture, social development and sports. He became vice chairman of the Senate Services Committee. Everything is in the first senate, ”he said in a statement sent to DAILY NIGERIAN – Ali Modibbo, former minister of the PKT.
“Senator Kumo a was once the National Secretary of the ANPP. He was also a member of the 2014 National Conference. Senator Saidu Kumo is survived by three wives, several children, brothers and sisters, including the Honorable. Lamido Chikaira and Dr. Aliya Modibbo, Former Minister of the Territory of the Federal Capital of Abuja. “
Since then, he has been buried in Abuja in accordance with Islamic rites.
