Seven deaths burned in the fatal accident of the Lagos-Ibadan highway

A fatal car accident occurred on Sunday night involving two vehicles around the Sandrete Ogunmakin area of ​​the Lagos-Ibadan highway, killing seven people.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Ahmed Umar, commander of the Ogun sector, who confirmed the incident to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN) on Monday, said three others suffered injuries of varying degrees in the incident.

He explained that the incident, which occurred around 10:40 pm, involved a truck and a bus both without license plates.

He also confirmed that a total of 10 people were involved in the incident and seven were burned beyond recognition.

Umar attributed the accident to the violation of the route, adding that the truck and bus had a head-on collision which resulted in a fire.“The survivors were taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, for medical treatment”, He said.

The commander of the FRSC therefore warned motorists to desist from driving against traffic as there was a great danger of violating the route.
