Former senator from Kaduna Shehu Sani responded to the mixed numbers of students kidnapped by militants at a public life science high school in the Kankara community of Katsina state.
As a reminder, while Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari said 333 students were still not attending school, the presidency, through Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President for Media and Advertising, announced that only ten students had been kidnapped.
In response, Sani said that despite disagreement over the number of abducted students, it is still a tragedy caused by a lack of protection or prevention.
“When people are killed or kidnapped, there is disagreement about the number of victims or victims; even if it is, it is still a tragedy, stemming from a lack of responsibility to protect or prevent, and that requires empathy and action. ”
