IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful said anyone caught enforcing the sit-at-home order throughout the Southeast is an agent for the Department of State Services, DSS.
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, said anyone who saw the sit-at-home order observed on Monday is an agent of the State Security Services Department.
IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful said this, while arguing that the sit-at-home on Monday is canceled across the Southeast.
Potente urged the people of the Southeast to go about their normal business, adding that anyone caught enforcing order would be treated as an enemy of the region.
In a statement released Thursday, Powerful said: “We, the global movement and family of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), skillfully led by our prophet and liberator Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, wish to reiterate once again that the IPOB has canceled the session. on Monday. the home order and anyone or group enforcing the relaxed order is neither from the IPOB nor from the IPOB volunteer groups.
“We are advising our people to ignore anyone who enforces the non-existent Monday sit-at-home order and to go about their normal business because those people are working for our enemies and their intention is to blackmail the IPOB and set the movement against the people but they will not succeed. Anyone caught increasing the pain of our people in the name of enforcing Monday’s sit-at-home order will be treated as the enemy they are.
“Therefore, we warn these agents of darkness by using the name of IPOB to force a nonexistent sit-at-home to desist because if we hold them back they will eternally regret their evil deeds.
Why should such anti-patriotic elements inflict pain on our people and drag our image into the mud? The IPOB remains a non-violent movement and our peaceful approach to restoring Biafra has not changed.
“It will be remembered that the IPOB leadership asked for the Monday Sit-At-Home and the IPOB leadership itself canceled it.
No one has the power to enforce the same suspended sit-at-home using the IPOB name. Such a person is an impostor who works for the death squad of the Nigerian DSS and Nigerian security agencies and should be treated as such if arrested.
The only day the sit-at-home will be observed in the land of Biafra will be when our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu appears in court and, as usual, we will make it public for all to know. “
The powerful have urged community leaders, market leaders, church leaders and established authorities to arrest anyone enforcing the sit-at-home order…
“We hereby direct community leaders, market leaders, church leaders and other institutions of authority in the Biafra Territory to arrest any thugs who seek to impose any sit-at-home on Mondays and hand them over to the IPOB. Such criminal elements must be dealt with in a language they understand, “the statement added.
The IPOB had instituted Monday’s sit-at-home order to persuade the Nigerian government to release its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
However, the group had canceled the order ahead of the newly concluded Anambra State Governorate elections after being hijacked by thugs.
