Soldier arrested for assaulting a woman after passing an ATM line
The soldier in the viral video, Corporal, Omo F., who was seen ruthlessly whipping a woman with a belt after she challenged him for not queuing at the United Bank of Africa Oshodi branch in Lagos, was arrested by the 9th Lagos brigade of the Nigerian army.
9th Brigade spokesman Major Olaniyi Osoba confirmed this on Monday on PUNCH. “I can confirm that he has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing,” he said.
Recall that on Monday the lady tweeted that the corporal whipped her with a belt: joking with the vels20 handle, she claimed that the soldier tried to leave the line at the ATM, but she challenged him.
He also stated that this angered Corporal Omo, who removed the belt from his waist and hit her with a whip.
