A motorcyclist was reportedly killed by a stray bullet in Rivers State.
The man was allegedly killed and some were injured when soldiers and police took control of the crisis-stricken Oyigbo community in the Oyigbo local government area in Rivers State.
It was revealed that the victim, who is said to be a commercial motorcyclist, was injured by a stray bullet and reportedly died before being taken to hospital for treatment.
OMON soldiers and officers were deployed in the area after over 500 thugs suspected of being a Prohibited Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) invaded command posts in the Oyigbo, Oyigbo and Afam areas, burning and damaging about fifteen vehicles, including armored personnel carrier (APC).
A spokesman for the Nnamdi Omoni State Police Command said normal conditions in the area had returned after the deployment of security personnel.

A resident of Oyigbo posted a photo of the alleged victim on Friday morning, October 23rd, when a reporter asked about the shooting in the area.
