Suspects in the murder of deputy Bauchi and kidnappers of the governor’s older brother detained
The kidnappers of Mohammed Duguri, the elder brother of the state governor and suspects in the murder of the late State Assemblyman Bauchi Musa Manthe Baraza, were arrested by the police.
Recall that the deputy who represented the Dass state constituency in the Bauchi assembly building was killed on August 13, 2020 at his residence in Dassa, and his two wives, Rashida (40 years old) and Rahina (35 years old), the attackers kidnapped their one-year-old daughter Fausar. The abductees were released after three days.
The elder brother of the Governor of Bala was kidnapped in the metropolis of Bauchi on March 25, 2020.
Providing an update on the investigation of both cases during the reception of the Catholic Bishop of the Bauchi diocese, the Reverend Bishop Hilary Dachel, who visited him, Bala said the suspects are currently being questioned by the police to establish the extent of their involvement in the crimes. before going to trial.
He also hinted at some areas of the state where criminals are housed, including the Falgor forest around the local government areas of Ninga, Toro, Tafawa Balewa and Alkaleri and forests in the Liman Katagum area of the state.
The governor said;
“My older brother was kidnapped while I was in solitary confinement, we want to thank the Inspector General of Police who came with all his might.
“I want to take this opportunity to say that they are all arrested and are under the threat of the wrath of the law.
“We will not sleep, we will not leave a stone unturned to allow villains, thugs and criminals to remain without sunburn.
“I caution that anyone who does this needs to be sure that we have a great relationship and an arrangement with the police and other security services to contact them and this is what will stop the spread of crime.
“We are glad that our power structures are working very hard. You saw what the Nigerian air force is doing, what the Nigerian army and police are doing.
“There were cases of abduction of people and people, but thanks to the strengthening of joint patrols, we were able to achieve the release of all those who were abducted by the kidnappers.
“There are forests in the Liman Katagum area, criminals are hiding. I assure you that we will do our very best with our Assembly to make sure that we reorganize our security services, support them and even our traditional institutions, including you (the religious leaders), so that everyone lives up to their expectations.
“We sent out warnings and reproaches that no one will be spared if a simple person, your followers will be touched.”
