Terrorists attack the Borno military base, kill three

Terrorists reportedly shot dead one of the JTF civilians, a police officer and another person on the Maiduguri road in Magumeri in northeastern Nigeria.

Sources told DAILY POST that the rebels placed three trucks loaded with weapons between Chabol and Magumeri, and then fired at a military base located in the area.

“After the transfer of the military, they attacked a police checkpoint, where they burned a police car and took it with them. There are now three bodies in place. CJTF, police officer and another civilian. “The source said.

DAILY POST reports that this comes on the heels of reports that new CDS Lieutenant General Lucky Irabor is leading other service chiefs and senior military personnel to Maiduguri as they begin their mission of continuing military customs clearance of terrorist elements in the region.

Recall that on Maiduguri on Magumeri Street, terrorists attacked geological workers and employees of the University of Maiduguri, killing 69 people in July 2017.

The incident is believed to be part of the attacks that Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau talked about in a ten-minute audio recording released last week.
