The commander of the Lagos RRS Tunji Disu was transferred to Abuja
The commander of the Rapid Response Unit (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Department, Tunji Disu, was transferred to Abuja.
The deputy police commissioner was tasked with reporting to the operations department of the force headquarters on Wednesday, Igbere TV reported.
The Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental and Other Special Crimes, Sahid Egbeyemi, was appointed to replace him.
In addition, Mr Egbeyemi will be replaced by the commander of the observation team under Governor (GMT) Sola Jejeli, and Ibrahim Bakar will replace Mr Jejeli as commander of the GMT.
Police Commissioner Hakim Odumosu, however, maintained his position.
Disu said in his Facebook post on Wednesday that he is grateful for his “fight.”
“I am grateful for my fight, because without him I would not have gained my strength. Alhamdullilah Robi Allahmin. New frontiers, ”he wrote, proposing a new role.
Disu changed the face of RRS with the slogan “The Good Guys”.
In the past, he was adjutant to the former governor of Lagos, Bol Tinubu.
Disu was an officer in charge of the Anti-Robbery Special Squad (SARS), Ondo State Police Department, and later an officer in charge of SARS, Oyo, and Rivers State Police Department.
