His story was told by a man from Nigeria, who narrowly escaped murder during the execution of Lekka.
The man who identified himself as Ayula shared a frightening story of how he survived the attack on the toll station in Lecchi on the evening of Tuesday 20 October.
Ayula, who said he was a professional swimmer, said the militants, whom he described as soldiers, started shooting at the protesters. He said that he jumped into the river and that the alleged soldier chased him into the river and continued to shoot.
He said he would die if he didn’t swim well.
