The roots of Italian strawberries sprouted in Crimea

Now the greenhouses of the enterprise occupy twelve hectares of land near the village of Kholmovka. And it all started with three hectares and the great desire of the founders of “Sweet Strawberry” to grow berries in the Crimea, no worse, and perhaps even better than in Italy.

– Why Italy? – Asks the director of the enterprise Andrei Kozdoba and he himself answers his own question. – While on the Apennine Peninsula, by chance I met the Italian strawberry guru Franco Zenti. Communication with this unique person led to the idea of ​​creating an agricultural enterprise in the Crimea, working on the advanced Italian technology of growing strawberries.

Franco Zenti technology allows harvesting from 20 to 35 tons of high-quality berries per hectare per season. The hot season for harvesting begins in early April and lasts until the end of July. The sweet products of the Crimean enterprise are sent to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory …

This year, a store selling strawberries was opened for the first time directly at the enterprise in the village of Kholmovka. The Crimeans immediately appreciated this! The store allows connoisseurs of fragrant berries to purchase strawberries practically from the field.

The great benefits of strawberries have long been known. One hundred grams of the product contains up to 84 milligrams of vitamin C, which is much more than lemon or cabbage. Strawberries regulate cholesterol metabolism, stimulate tissue regeneration and healing, and even have a whitening effect on teeth. This is not a complete list of the beneficial properties of the berry!

Strawberries from Kholmovka have long been a brand. It has its own recognizable features. First of all, these are the highest taste qualities. The berry is very sweet and aromatic. And, as the director of the company Andrey Kozdoba assured, all this is achieved without the slightest use of chemicals! This is confirmed by the results of regular laboratory studies and, most importantly, the ten-year love of strawberry connoisseurs for the products of the Crimean enterprise.
