The woman who accused the gospel singer of rape was reportedly negotiating a $ 30,000 deal.
According to SaharaReporters, the woman who accused the famous evangelical musician Biodun Badejo, also known as Giovani, of rape, is negotiating a $ 30,000 deal with her family.
Badejo, who was arrested by the police on Saturday January 9th and is currently in police custody, denied the charges, saying that what happened between them was a “lovers’ quarrel.”
Ebenezer Omejalile, director general of Advocates for Children and Vulnerable Populations (ACVPN), who confirmed the arrest on Monday 11 January, said the victim was postponing the case because she refused to appear for further investigation.
“We have heard rumors that negotiations are underway to pay her $ 30,000. The police officer called me and explained that he had asked the woman to come this morning and take the case to court, but the girl refused to appear.
They called her, but she does not answer his calls. She originally said that she was not interested in the case, and I said that if she goes on with the business, this guy will continue to do it with others because he was neither the first nor the last. But now we hear about negotiations, ”he said.
