Three officers killed during the kidnapping of the brother of Health Minister Osagi Ehanire

Three police officers were killed in Benin City, Edo state when on Sunday, February 21, unidentified gunmen kidnapped Osagi’s younger brother Ehanire, Nigeria’s health minister.

Kidnapped, Andy Ehanir is the CEO of the Ogba Zoo in Benin City.

Edo police spokesman Moses Nkombe, who confirmed to reporters in Benin City on Monday that the incident took place at the zoo.

The killed police officers were sent to the garden to keep the zoo and wildlife park amusement seekers safe.

According to the Nigeria News Agency (NAN), the killing disrupted the zoo as many of the entertainment seekers fled in search of safety.

“Our people are working on this (incident) even though we have not made any arrests,” said police spokesman Mr. Nkombe.
