Bandits set fire to another police station in Lagos
The second police station was set on fire by thugs in Lagos.
The bandits were found to have broken into the Layeni police station in the Ifelodun local council development area of Lagos state and set it on fire.
This tragic incident was confirmed by eyewitnesses.
Reports also say that Paco Police Station was attacked as several thugs attacked Ajeromi Police Station but were driven back by the police.
An eyewitness named Ladipo said at least eight people were injured.
He said: “The crisis started with Orile Iganmu. People protested peacefully and the police opened fire on them.
Ladipo also claimed that the boys heard that the police killed their people in Iganmu and that they also burned the Layani police station.
“Tension is everywhere. We rushed eight people to the hospital. He added that they were seriously injured.
In response to the incident, LCDA’s chief spokesman Ajeromi Ifelodun, Sheriff Facunle, confirmed the incident.
Fakunle said, “Yes, it is burning. Layen police station was set on fire. The incident happened around 11:00.
“The bandits were returned to the Ajeromi police station.”
