Traffic warning: Lagos women’s race is held tomorrow

Following the Lagos mini marathon, labeled “LAGOS WOMEN RUN”, which will take place on Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 06:00, the following routes will be temporarily closed to traffic:

1.Ponte Marina towards Apongbon, 2.Onikan towards JK Randle Avenue (TBS),

Muson Center / Flag House inwards TBS, WATER BOARD / NITEL / MARINA BRIDGE / IPPInner Marina road inwards NITEL / State House, 6.Ebute Ero ramp inwards Eko Bridge, Ijora Olopa / LAWMA HQ towards the ‘inside Ijora Oloye / Marine Bridge, 8.Eko Bridge getting off in Alaka, Alaka towards inside the stadium / Surulere on the Broad street service lane from Elegbata / Ofin, Apongbon.

As a consequence of the above, the alternative routes for motorists are as follows:

Drivers from Victoria Island and Ikoyi are advised to use the Carter Bridge (Idumota Bridge) to Iddo – Oyingbo – Herbert Macaulay or use the Third Mainland Bridge across Alfred Rewane – Osborne rd.

2.From Ebute I was to Eko Bridge: Take the Adeniji-Adele interchange for Carter Bridge (Idumota Bridge) for Iddo-Oyingbo-Herbert Macaulay Way for Adekunle for Third Mainland Bridge or Herbert Macaulay Way for Jibowu and connect the destination.

3. Apapar motorists who want to connect the stadium from Alaka should use the Iponri property to connect Bode Thomas rd, while vehicles to Lagos island from Surulere are free from restrictions.

Motorists are advised to plan their trip as the restrictions will take a few hours. Any inconvenience is sorry.
