Tragedy when Boko Haram terrorists kill 14 farmers in Borno

On Monday, deadly members of the Boko Haram terrorist group raided a village in the Ngwom region of Borno state and killed 14 farmers.

Militants abducted 15 farmers working in their irrigation fields in the village of Ngwom, 14 kilometers north of the region’s main city, Maiduguri, and slit their throats, AFP reported.

“They slaughtered the peasants, killing 14 people, and one survived with a deep wound. They left him to die, ”said Babakura Kilo, the leader of the anti-jihadist group.

The rebels captured the peasants as they were harvesting at noon, leaving no room for them to escape, said another member, Ibrahim Liman, who cited a similar death toll. The survivor was taken to hospital in a “life-threatening condition.”

– said Lyman. Boko Haram and a rival group from the Islamic State Province of West Africa (ISWAP) increasingly fall prey to lumberjacks, herders and fishermen in their aggressive campaign, accusing them of spying and providing information to the local military and militias who are fighting them.

At least 36,000 people have been killed in the jihadist conflict, which has displaced nearly two million people since 2009. The violence has spread to neighboring Niger, Chad and Cameroon, prompting the regional military coalition to fight the militants.
