Trouble when 26-year-old man was caught spending counterfeit naira bills in Adamawa state
Eson Fatgall, a 26-year-old man, is in more trouble than he could have imagined.
The man is currently in police custody for distributing and spending counterfeit naira banknotes in Adamawa State.
Fatgoel reportedly spent fake nair notes in exchange for goods and services in the cities of Guyuk, Lafia and Numan.
Suleiman State Police spokesman Yahya Nguroje confirmed the suspect’s arrest to reporters in Yola, the state capital, on Sunday.
He said: “The investigation also revealed that counterfeit banknotes are still in circulation in these regions. The public, especially traders, should watch how they trade in exchange to avoid becoming a victim.
