Turkish President Erdogan calls Bukhari and asks Nigeria to support Palestine

Turkish President Recep Erdogan told President Major General Muhammad Bukhari (ret.) That he expects Nigeria to show solidarity with the Palestinians following Israel’s recent attacks in Jerusalem and Gaza.

Erdogan called while talking to Bukhari on the phone Thursday night.

This is stated in the message of the President of Turkey @trpresidency, posted on his Twitter page.

The Turkish President told Bukhari that his country is trying to force the international community to teach Isreal, which he called an “illegal, unjust and unprincipled” lesson.

He expressed confidence that Nigeria will support the Palestinians in “this right cause.”

The message read: “President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke on the phone with the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Bukhari.

“After exchanging greetings on Eid al-Adha, the leaders of the two countries discussed bilateral relations and regional events.

Highlighting Turkey’s efforts to ensure that the international community can teach the necessary lesson to the illegal, unjust and unprincipled Israel due to its attacks on Palestine, President Erdogan expressed confidence that Nigeria would show solidarity with the Palestinians in this rightful cause. “

In addition to Bukhari, Erdogan reportedly also spoke with other world leaders about this.

He reportedly spoke with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Dzhaparov; his Afghan counterpart Ashraf Ghani; Prime Minister of Iraq Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, former Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad; and the Prime Minister of Libya, Abdul Dbeibe.

According to media reports, the current Israeli offensive in Gaza has killed 103 people, including 27 children and 11 women.

The reports cited the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

A further 580 people were reportedly injured.
