Two traders crash when Kaduna government announces market demolition

The Kaduna State government has issued a demolition notice to all traders and people working in Kakuri Market Square in the southern Kaduna Municipal District of Kaduna State, Sahara Reporters said.

Sahara Reporter has reliably established that two people fainted and passed out after receiving a departure notice that was taped to the market on Thursday.

Market Leave Notices were issued and posted on the market streets by officials from the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority.

All attempts to deal with the state authorities have failed as police spokesman Muhammad Jalij was unable to answer his calls.

Also, when contacted, the market official identified only as Mr. Omale declined to comment on the matter.

The Kaduna government, led by Governor Nasir el-Rufai, has carried out the same demolition operation in several communities in the state, including Barnava, Ungwan Rimi, Pantaker and many others.

The stop warning was pasted in several places on the wall in Kajura.
