Ugwuani asks for prayers, sober reflections, welcomes Muslims

As Muslims mark Eid al-Adha this year to mark the end of Ramadan, Enugu State Governor Ifeani Ugwuani urged all Nigerians to seize the opportunity to reflect and strengthen their prayers for peace, security, unity and progress for the country.

In his message from Sallah, the Governor of Ugwuani, congratulating all Muslim believers, stressed that the religious event has a great positive impact on the country’s efforts to overcome problems in the field of security, socio-economic development and health.

The Governor then commanded all Nigerians to continue to believe in God and accept the precious virtues of love, mercy, peace and sacrifice, exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

Wishing the blessings and guidance of Allah to Muslims, the Governor of Ugwuani advised Nigerians to celebrate peacefully and strictly observe all precautions to curb the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
