Unidentified attackers cut off the head and courage of a peasant in Imo
Tangible tensions gripped the Mbaytoli local government area in Imo state after strangers cut off the heads and personal parts of farmers, according to a Vanguard report.
The peasant, whose name was Isreal Ihenacho, was suspected of dismembering the ritualists.
The incident around the Orodo market in the Mbaytoli local government area in the early hours of Wednesday in the state reportedly triggered a turbulent lull in the affected community in the area.
While the eyewitness who spoke to the Vanguard said so “Those who found the lifeless body were people who left early in the morning on business.
“We are not happy that this is happening in society, we just go to the market to sell some products from our farms, just to see a headless corpse and not even a chest.
“We think that some group of ritualists has entered our community and that something needs to be done now. This is totally bad for this community. ”
Some of the parts of his body that, according to an eyewitness, were cut off were his head, manhood, including the left side of his chest.
“This man is also involved in capping palm wine, and we do not know why he was attacked. Poor man for that matter, it is evil, I must say “ – said an eyewitness.
However, the Orlando State Police Public Relations Officer Ikeokwu said State Police Commissioner Nasiru Mohammed had ordered an investigation into the matter.
