UNIPORT teacher kidnapped by armed men (photo)

Dr. Jones Ajuu, a lecturer in the Faculty of Linguistics and Communication at the University of Port Harcourt, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

It was revealed that the teacher was abducted under fire on Sunday evening, February 21, in Bori as he was returning from an event in the Andoni municipal district.

Some RSTV officers who were with Ajuu were reportedly also abducted by the militants, but later abandoned after their phones and other valuables were stolen.

Journalists reported about the incident at the Borisov police station after returning to freedom.

Rivers State Police Representative S.P. Omoni confirmed the incident, but said he had not received any details yet.
