United Nigeria Airlines will start flights on Friday
The first flight will depart from the inner wing of Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MM2) in Ikeja, Lagos State, and terminate at Akanu Ibiam Enugu International Airport, the base of operations for a reunited Nigeria.
The flight will also visit Abuja from Enugu and will finally return to Lagos.
Corporate Communications Manager Achilleus-Chud Uchegbu announced that the first flight will be performed on the EMB145 aircraft.
The Daily Trust reports that the commencement of flights follows the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) certification of the United Nigeria Air Operator (AOC), which met all mandatory regulatory requirements.
The airline said that regular daily flights to Lagos, Abuja, Asaba and Enugu airports will begin immediately, while Owerri and Port Harcourt will begin soon.
