Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi and several others broke into the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Office on Wednesday morning, May 11, to protest the detention of Baba Izhesha, accused of molesting a 14-year-old girl.

Baba Izhesha was arrested in March after being filmed trying to infect the comedian’s adopted daughter, a princess. In a video posted online, the princess stated that she first raped her adopted daughter when she was seven years old, and then recently tried to rape her again.

Yomi believes that the detention of Baba Izheshi is against his fundamental human rights and asks the police to release him.

Protesters were seen carrying placards and banners with various slogans such as “denying bail for a crime that can be repaired is a violation of human rights,” “Nigerian police, please let the law dictate to you, not Iyabo Ojo, princess other. “Free Baba Izhesha” and “The Nigerian Police must respect human rights and pay refundable bail for crimes.”
