Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s Administration of Enugu State is partnering with a local engineering firm, Fordmarx Nigeria Limited and its foreign partner, Lorentz Germany, to organize a free two-week sustainable water technology training program for engineers and graduate technologists in the southeast geopolitical zone.
According to a statement by the chief executive officer of Fordmarx Nigeria Limited, Dr. Clifford Nnaji, the free two-week training course tagged: “Train the Trainer / Capacity Building Program on Sustainable Water Technology” will focus on well drilling, water treatment and facilities, renewable energy, irrigation and fire / fire hydrants.
Fordmarx Nigeria Limited is currently managing the complete rehabilitation of the 9th Mile Crash Program in the state of Enugu, which is being carried out by Gov. The administration of Ugwuanyi, after more than 30 years since the abandonment of the water project in the state.
The water scheme that provides for the rehabilitation and conversion of 13 industrial wells to solar energy to ensure the availability and sustainability of the water network in the metropolis of Enugu is over 90% completed.
Dr. Nnaji in the statement revealed that the training which is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of returning to the company, will be held from November 23 to December 3, 2021 at The Base Event Center, Independence Layout, Enugu, Enugu State, from 8:00 to 17:00 every day.
He added that the training will equip candidates with the required skills in the areas of interest, stating that eligible candidates for the program must be aged 18 to 35 with a minimum National Diploma (ND) qualification in the field of engineering. and other related courses.
