Dr Mohammed Abubakar, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, revealed that the federal government is working to promote stimuli that reduce the high cost of food.
The minister said this in Abuja during a familiarization tour of Nigeria’s Agricultural Research Council on Monday November 15. He said President Muhammadu Buhari is very fond of agriculture and is committed to making sure that people have “food to eat every single day to eat without fights on their tables.”“We are doing everything possible to propose some kind of stimulus that causes a reduction in food prices. Of course, no one will sit and watch. We are doing what we can to see that the agricultural sector has improved and the food we expect for Nigeria’s teeming population is being produced, the same with livestock. “ He said.
