“We will not tolerate protests in Lagos,” police residents warn.

Lagos State Police Command has pledged to resist any form of planned protest, march or gathering in any form or nomenclature in Lagos State as the government and residents of Lagos continue to heal the wounds of recent Endsar violence. which destroyed the state.

Command wishes to inform the general public that, based on information gathered by the relevant intelligence services, certain non-priority elements or groups of people have made plans to stage a new round of violence in the state in support of the recent violence. from Endsars, which has been analyzed as dangerous and counterproductive.

With this in mind, the Command therefore wishes to alert any individual, student group, or any group that may wish to organize any form of protest, be it “peaceful” or violent, or an assembly of any kind, to abstain as the police and other security forces will
collectively and tactically confront any threats to security or public peace that may be provoked by protests or demonstrators in Lagos State.

Police Command strongly warns parents and guardians not to encourage their children or wards to participate in any protests in the state, as the possibility of being captured by armed bandits in order to inflict grief and pain, as in the recent past, is obvious.

We urge the general public to ignore any requests for protest and go about their legal business as all hands are on the bridge to maintain law, order, and public safety in the state.
