What RCCG Leader Pastor Adeboye Says About Killing Innocent, Unarmed Protesters

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Chief Overseer Enoch Adeboye spoke about the chaos of #EndSARS.

The pastor condemned the Nigerian military and police for their actions against the SARS End protesters.

In a statement on Wednesday, the cleric said the security forces’ offensive had worsened the situation.

Adeboye also urged young people to remain calm and avoid any action that would make them more vulnerable to violence.

He wondered why the police still hadn’t arrested the attackers on peaceful demonstrators across Nigeria.

“I strongly condemn the attacks by the Nigerian armed forces against unarmed youths who have peacefully protested police brutality during the #EndSARS protests over the past 12 days.

“I am embarrassed that, prior to the tragic events at #LekkiTollGate, Nigerian police were unable to arrest armed thugs who attacked the well-organized and non-violent #EndSARS protesters.

“Condemned actions by the military can force young people into hiding from riots, making the situation unmanageable.

“I ask the federal government to thoroughly investigate the tragic events in Lekki and other parts of the country, and pay tribute to all the victims, even if it obliges the #EndSARS protesters to come to a general agreement to end police brutality.

“I also appeal to young people to allow peaceful domination and stop any action that could give the military any other reason to attack,” the cleric wrote.

Adeboye prayed that the peace of God would come to Nigeria at this time.
