Will Naira ever regain her strength? See what Pastor Adeboye has to say about it

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the chief overseer of the God-redeemed Christian church, said naira would restore its strength in the currency league.

He spoke about this Saturday morning during the Church’s annual Holy Spirit Congress held at RCCG’s international headquarters on the Lagos-Ibadan highway.

The 78-year-old cleric prayed to God to intervene in Nigeria’s financial sector and change the hearts of politicians who deliberately devalue naira.

Sharing evidence of immediate financial progress, Adeboye recalled that he needed NN 5,000 decades ago during the Church’s inaugural convention. According to him, then naira was strong, and five thousand N is a lot of money.

Adeboye said: “During our first convention here at Redemption Camp, I was brave, I asked everyone to come, free food. They came, the money ran out. In the morning my wife came to me: “Sir, we need N5000.”

“Naira was strong then. It will become powerful again. For those who deliberately devalue our naira, God will intervene until tomorrow morning.

“So my wife said that we need N5,000. I asked her:“ Do you need this today or later? ” He said today. I didn’t have a kobo. I told her to go. I shouted to God that I needed a breakthrough. Soon after, a man got into the car, he was not a member of the church.

“He asked what was going on and we said that we would arrange a convention. Then he put his hands in his pockets and took out an envelope with money.

“Then I called my wife and asked her:“ How much do you think you need? “”

PUNCH reports that naira traded against the dollar in a parallel market this week at 490 / $ after it was traded for the N500 last week.

Bureau De Change operators attributed the current devaluation of Naira to speculative activities of some operators.

However, the Central Bank of Nigeria kept the official exchange rate at N379 / $ on its website.
