You Won’t Believe How Many Kvar’s Doctors Contacted COVID-19 Within 3 Weeks
At least twenty doctors from the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), Kwara, have been infected with COVID-19.
The doctors reportedly contracted COVID-19 within three weeks.
According to NAN, Badmus Habib, president of the UITH branch of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), announced this on Wednesday.
Habib advised Nigerians to stay safe and follow the guidelines set by the President’s COVID-19 Task Force.
“About 20 of our members have been infected with the virus in the past two to three weeks. I must repeat that this is not the best time for us, our families and affected patients, ” Khabib would say.
Resources are limited in the country, and the basic needs needed to make launching a COVID-19 vaccine easy and possible are not always available.
“So it seems like we can never get a vaccine anytime soon. Based on the available data, the COVID-19 vaccine is effective and there is no reason why Nigerians should not follow scientific evidence, especially with adequate information. “
He also advised the government to provide the necessary resources to help contain the spread of COVID-19.
